I am a creative, a mother, an early childhood educator, and a licensed clinical social worker. I obtained my master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. As a child and family therapist for many years, I specialized in helping young children and families navigate transitions, heal from trauma, and develop deeper relationships.
After moving to California, I providing early childhood mental health consultation in preschools throughout the city and created and directed a mental health program to support children attending a large nonprofit preschool. I founded and directed Little Worlds Workshop in 2017 for 2 beautiful years and happily reopened in the fall of 2020.
I love childhood. Children come packed with endless curiosity and mind-blowing skills at figuring out the people and things around them. My experiences as a therapist, learning specialist, and teacher have taught me to revere the adaptability and resiliency of children while also respecting the immense role that loving and engaged parents and a supportive environment have in a child’s wellbeing. I also have a deep love of glitter, thread, and imagination. I aim to bring all of that together to create a warm, magical, and inspiring school “home” for your child and your family.
Carman
TeacherMy name is Carman. I hold an AS degree from City College of San Francisco in Child Development. I also have been working in the Child Education field for many years. My family and I love outdoor activities. Often time, we go hiking, biking, and going to the beach, anywhere that is close to nature. Because I love nature, I love using different materials to inspire children. Children can learn to create through art and science experiments. Hands-on learning and play-based always work for young children.
I love children at a young age, because of the foundation of the children’s development, and the importance of the moment in their life. My job is not only to teach them but also to encourage and guide them to grow. I think working with and around children is an incredible job. Each individual child has his/her unique ideas and thoughts, and every day they will learn and grow.

TeacherI love goofing around, creating, dancing and exploring, but most simply put I love helping kids grow. Encouraging them to do things they didn’t think they could and then seeing the pride they have in themselves.
